A successfull firing load

:) Phew! Every time you worry that something may be lost in the firing. To avoid explosions the clay must be of an open structure and well worked. The temperature has to be taken up slowly in the kiln to allow any remaining air to escape as it expands. These pieces have been fired on an 09 cone in a sitter kiln for @ 14 hr. They have then been allowed to cool for 12 hr before the kiln was opened. :)
